We once curated fine art. Now we make the art you hold.
Before Filum Arts, we owned and ran our own art gallery — years spent surrounded by beautiful, meaningful objects and the people who loved them. When we closed the gallery's doors, we didn't leave that world behind. We poured it into something more personal.
Filum Arts is the result: handmade craft tools made one at a time, with the same reverence for material, proportion, and finish that a gallery demands. Every piece is 100% unique and modified specifically for its owner's grip.
Today we work with over 400 species of wood, precious gemstones, metals, resins, unique color-shifting powders, and much more — so we can make a piece as unique as the client who commissioned it.
The principles behind every piece.
One-of-one, always
No two pieces are alike. Grain, color movement, and finish are unique to your tool — by design, never by accident.
Made for the hand
We modify each handle's shape specifically for your grip, so it feels like it was made for you — because it was.
Built to be kept
Handles are heirlooms; working parts are replaceable. Your piece is meant to last for years, not seasons.
From raw material to heirloom.
Conversation
We learn the maker, the craft, and the hand it's for.
Material
You choose the wood, resin, gemstone, or metal world.
Shaping
We turn and shape the handle specifically for your grip.
Finishing
Sanding, polishing, hardware, and hand-engraving.
